Dating safety
OTIUMZ DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS DATING MEMBERS.
Meeting people online can be great, but caution matters. These steps can help you date more safely.
Profiles can be fake
Someone who can steal an identity can also create a false dating profile. There’s no substitute for caution when a stranger wants to meet you.
Protect your personal information
Keep your last name, email address, home address, phone number, workplace and other identifying details out of your profile and first messages. Stop talking to anyone who pressures you for personal or financial information or tries to trick you into sharing it.
Watch for scams
Never send money or share financial details with someone you met through Dating, however convincing their story is.
If you meet in person
Always tell a family member or friend where you’re going and when you’ll be back. Meet in a public place with many people around. Arrange your own transportation both ways, and don’t agree to be picked up at home.
Report a problem
Use the report and block tools in the app, or email support@otiumz.com. If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
